You and Your Whuffie Factor was my friend Tara Hunt’s session at Thinking Digital last week – I managed to see about 50% of it before I had to run for the train but Twitter told me it was as good as I expected. Tara’s a great presenter and I love her slides. If anyone can get away with Comic Sans, Tara can.
The beauty of this slidedeck is you can pretty much get the gist of what Tara talked about – social capital. The downside is you don’t get the same impassioned delivery (or funky shirty) that the real live experience delivers. One more reason to have been at Thinking Digital and hopefully Tara will be back for a 3rd year running. If not, keep your eyes peeled for video of her session at www.thinkingdigital.co.uk
There’s lots in here for my friends at Microsoft….one in particular who I’ll be sending this too as for his work, it’s all about getting out and creating Whuffie.
Like all good things, the notion of Whuffie is actually pretty obvious. It’s just there is too much time spent focus on inward crap rather than delighting or even surprising the customer. The little things count…
in fact another presentation right the start of Thinking Digital captured the essence of Whuffie quite well with a Beatles quote:
And, in the end, the love you take/ Is equal to the love you make.
Amen.
….oh and Tara’s book just showed up at my place a few days too late for her to sign. Damn!
