Jaguar launched the new XJ today in London – quite a thing to launch such a car in the current economic situation but that’s not what caught my attention. The fact that their PR folks were active and engaged on Twitter made me feel entirely different about what I would normally see as a stuffy old mans brand. Okay so I’m not going to rush out and buy a new XJ tomorrow but the fact it looks pretty damn nice AND they engage with me personally will make me stop by their showroom next time I go by and take a look. Oh and I’ll likely tell a few friends about this whole thing….friends who talk on social media. The snowball grows etc…you get the idea.
Hats off to them for getting on Twitter, listening and providing some super cool photography too. Aston could learn from them per my post earlier this week where you have to be a signed up press person simply to get photos of their motors (Jag has not one but two of those sites too but they allow anyone in)
1 nil to Jaguar. Follow them on Twitter @JaguarUKPR
ps: before you tell me that Jaguar needs the press and Aston doesn’t that’s bull….every car maker needs good press right now.
Nice to connect with you too Steve :-)
