Hot on the heels of my Bing slide deck last week, I thought this post by Garr Reynolds was worth sharing -

I see the errors below Garr mentions far too often unfortunately. It’s a shame as just a little attention to the details can make such a big difference as you can see above.

One of the best things we could do with Office 2010? Specifically for PowerPoint, would be to offer a free copy or some free chapters from Presentation Zen or Nancy Duarte’s slide:ology



  • I also find that a "litel attention to the details" goes a long way with "the errors below" or was that above!!!! :-)

  • That brings up a good idea. Maybe the PowerPoint team can make up some templates to upload to the online gallery. Make some different types of templated presentations with lots of different types of slides, lists, main points, pictures, graphs, etc. Instead of sample data, have instructions on how to use each slide type and how not to make a slide.
