Though I’m not seeing it yet (must be a staged rollout) the 4.3 firmware for Zune HD has just been released. I’m going to change my region to US to see if that jolts it.
UPDATE: I forced the update using the following instructions from charms55 on the Zune forums.
1. Press POWER/MEDIA (side) buttons together for 15 seconds. wait for the full time or until you see the screen that tells you you will need to connect to use the device THIS WILL NOT DELETE YOUR CONTENT.
2. Start the Zune desktop software and reconnect your Zune. The update should start right away.
Sounds like a decent upgrade with RedmondPie reporting the following updates:
Now….where is that Twitter application?
Just a word of warning if you force the update using the reset described above. Although you do not lose any content on the device, it is no longer associated with the desktop app, and so will stay on the device until manually removed. This only really matters if you sync autoplaylists or podcasts because that will be sort of broken now...
Not a major hassle to set them up again though, and the update is worth it for the seemingly increased performance on the web browser...
Update didn't work for me. Got 4.1 (137) - which is what I started with - not 4.3 (191).
Yeah very useful content for the audio and video lovers and i am waiting for these exciting kind of articles.
