    Battle of the Twitter clients

Thirteen23.com just tweeted about a new limited beta of Blu, their Twitter client that is due soon. As I posted when Blu originally came out, I think it’s a beautiful application though it needed some tweaks to have made it my first choice client. Unfortunately for Thirteen23.com, the game has moved on and Seesmic’s Look is now the high bar from a visual interface to Twitter. I finally got around to installing it today and some of the features such as playback mode are terrific. I can see that feature being used a lot at conferences on big LCD screens and the like.

This optimised for Windows 7 client is going to get a screen all of its own at Chez Clayton as I like the ability to just have it sit there and for the Twitterstream to waft by me. Nice work @loic and team. For all Windows 7 users, I’d highly recommend having a Look at it.

My bet is this shows up on eBay pretty soon. I assume it’s running Windows 7 right? Smile

Bill Gates has a new website

Pretty self explanatory – you can find out what he’s thinking about, what he’s learning, his travels and more. It’s being described as a peek in to Bill’s mind and from my initial scan it looks promising. I genuinely hope that his new Twitter account that sits alongside it is used by Bill himself as I this and the website represent a great opportunity for Bill to show a little more of himself as I always get the impression he’s a little bit misunderstood and stereotyped. Let’s see how this goes – the world appears to be listening if the Twitter follower rate is anything to go by (currently 245k)
