Okay, I know there is a long way to go in the app race but Lemmings!!!…this was probably the most addictive game I played as a kid and I just noticed an RT from Charlie Kindel with the video above.

When I see the words Chrome and XBOX 360 my heart skips a beat. Chrome is a web browser right? Correct but it’s more well known as a colour Smile

and now you can pre-order an XBOX 360 in that colour. A Limited Edition Halo Reach Bundle which will be available September 14th when Halo: Reach launches. Major Nelson has all the details but basically a 360 console, 250GB hard drive, wifi, two controllers (also in chrome)….all for $399 and available for pre-order now. Oh and there is also a special edition controller and wireless headset

    My favourite MGX demo

[mix 10 demo of Windows Phone 7]

Of all the demos I saw this week, the one that impressed me the most was Joe Belfiore with Windows Phone 7. That’s saying something as if I could tell you about the stuff that was shown in the closing hours of MGX…well, I think it would stun most people.

Joe didn’t really show anything new at all from MIX10 – he just strung together a demo that made a tonne of sense to me. It was a demo of how he would use the phone himself. A personal demo rather than a feature demo and frankly we need to get much better at that stuff. Joe’s demo took us through the Facebook and Windows Live integration, the Zune services, Office integration and a glimpse of XBOX integration. Of particular note was the deep integration of Bing and location services. The demo just flowed, the device was fast and Joe was clearly enjoying it.

The whole thing left me with a lot of excitement about getting hold of the product and exploring for myself. Sure, there are a few nits that others have found like the all or nothing Facebook integration, but that’s a small price to pay for a phone that I will genuinely feel excited about showing family and friends.

When you’re proud of your product, it’s a million times easier to sell.

I love this new cube grenade from Hugh. After a week in Atlanta at our annual Microsoft conference, I came away energized as always and yep, I love what I do! I’m not sure the world is paying attention though…I’ll get to that part.

    Windows Phone 7 walkthru

Nice video walkthru from Long – I got to play with a Windows Phone 7 this week and I was really impressed. I wasn’t sure I was going to be but I loved the UI. Lots of elegant little touches in there and in particular I liked the setup experience…and the way the connections to Zune, Facebook, Windows Live and XBOX have been woven in. Looking forward to getting my own phone soon!
