After RFID journal live Europe was over I had the privilege to present at Netherlands BizTalk User group. There were around 40 attendees with mix of partners and customers. All these folks have been working with BizTalk for a while and they were really excited to know more about RFID capabilities in BizTalk Server 2006 R2. Michiel our NL product manager gave a presentation on general R2 features and I focused on BizTalk RFID. I was able to demonstrate the true plug and play capability of BizTalk RFID along with few case studies.
It was funny when BizTalk auto discovered the reader and as soon as I enabled the reader in our framework it started reading tags. One person from audience was so surprised to see the simplicity that he thought it was some simulated environment. I had to show him the tags and then move the tags away from field to prove it was all real. J
But I took the whole thing as a complement to for our platform. I think simplicity is the most complex thing to achieve. We have tried to do that with BizTalk RFID. I wish more people play with this great platform and build innovative solutions on this great technology.

We had RFID Journal Live Europe event in Amsterdam from 6th Nov to 8th Nov. The event was attended by more than 350 attendees representing 184 companies and 33 countries. I presented following 2 sessions at the event on BizTalk RFID along with Bernd Roessler from HP and Dean Frew from Xterprise.
Both sessions were very well received. Many customers were excited about Microsoft's focus in RFID space. They wanted to learn more and get involved. The key message we wanted to convey to attendees was "RFID is ready for Mass Adoption and Microsoft wants to make it possible". If you want to learn more about BizTalk RFID you can do that at http://www.microsoft.com/rfid.
