Bank of America details our their RFID plans. They are also leveraging our RFID capabilities. :)
There's very little in the way of good news coming out of the financial services sector these days. But William Conroy, head of Bank of America's enterprise architecture division, thinks radio frequency identification has the potential to produce some. That's why he is leading the firm's deployment of passive, EPC Gen 2 tags for tracking computer servers and other high-value IT assets in its data centers, as he explained to attendees at the EPC Connection 2008 conference earlier this month.

Another great case study from one of our customers. :)
Nov. 19, 2008—Tracking thousands of assets in a typical banking data center, and ensuring that laptop computers leaving a building are authorized to do so—and are with the properly authorized users—is a cumbersome task for bank security officers. But Wells Fargo is employing radio frequency identification to solve that inefficiency in both cases.

Improving Data Quality and Productivity with Mobile Data Collection Systems
Recently Krish, lead program manager for BizTalk RFID wrote a post(here) on EPCIS capabilities in our upcoming release BizTalk Server 2009. Same time we have been working on providing guidance to our customers and partners on how they can extend BizTalk Server 2006 R2 to deploy EPCIS applications. The white paper on this topic has been posted on MSDN. Following is brief intro to the topic and link to detailed White Paper.
This goal of this document is to provide architectural guidance on how an enterprise can implement EPC Information Services using the suite of relevant products and technologies from Microsoft. As such, its audience consists of architects, analysts, developers, and Solution Integrators (SIs). The audience is assumed to have a basic level of familiarity with EPC concepts and EPCglobal Architecture Framework. We also assume a basic level of familiarity with Microsoft products in the enterprise integration space including Microsoft® BizTalk® Server [3], Microsoft BizTalk RFID [4], Windows® Communication Foundation (WCF) [5], Message Queuing (MSMQ) [6], and BizTalk Adapter Pack [7].

RFID Journal Live has done a case study on CHEP one of our key customer. It is a great article. Following are few snippets from the article.
CHEP, a pallet and container pooling services company owned by Australia-based Brambles, is running an RFID-based application that tracks returnable containers for the automotive industry at its facilities in countries across Europe, according to Floris Kleijn, CHEP's director of RFID as a service in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The implementation of the RFID application was managed in house by CHEP, with help from systems integrator Infosys, which wrote code for the software used in the application, based on Microsoft's BizTalk and SAP's Auto ID Infrastructure (AII) and Event Management (EM) software. The next challenge for the application, Kleijn says, involves expanding it to its customers' premises.

Krish, Lead Program Manager for BizTalk RFID has recently started blogging. He has been a veteran on the team and has a recent post on our EPCIS plans for BizTalk RFID 2009 release which is scheduled for mid of 2009. Link to the post is below. Please let us know your feedback. Thanks
Over this year, we have been talking to a number of partners and customers on the usage of EPCIS. It appears that many companies are in the process of evaluating EPCIS in the form of pilots. Many customers have also insisted on the availability of EPCIS in the middleware platforms that they evaluate. In the BizTalk RFID 2009 release, we will be releasing client components to enable building of EPCIS Services. What does this mean and why should you care?
