&lt;p&gt;Are there any alternatives in the .net stack except for rolling your own solution using WCF or Websockets.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I feel i&amp;#39;m reinventing the wheel trying to make a hmoebrewed sync solution.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt; &amp;nbsp;Thanks for your feedback. &amp;nbsp;We are looking at better methods for a seamless upgrade process. &amp;nbsp;Typically, the upgrade process will retain the existing config file. &amp;nbsp;However, we still ask users to follow the procedures illustrated in the link above in order to ensure the config information is not lost during upgrade. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
