I hope I can change your doubts.

I just checked with my test site at http://xmldocs.net/nyt/ that the APIs stil work. You can see from Fiddler that the api.nytimes.com/crossdomain.xml works fine - Silverlight first checks for a clientaccesspolicy.xml file and if not found it checks for the crossdomain.xml file.

I sincerely doubt anyone's monitoring this, but I'm getting a result 569 error on clientaccesspolicy.xml testing this out. Does the ny times api server have the requisite cross domain file in place so people can use the Silverlight toolkit?
