&lt;p&gt;I hope I can change your doubts.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I just checked with my test site at &lt;a rel="nofollow" target="_new" href="http://xmldocs.net/nyt/"&gt;http://xmldocs.net/nyt/&lt;/a&gt; that the APIs stil work. You can see from Fiddler that the &lt;a rel="nofollow" target="_new" href="http://api.nytimes.com/crossdomain.xml"&gt;api.nytimes.com/crossdomain.xml&lt;/a&gt; works fine - Silverlight first checks for a clientaccesspolicy.xml file and if not found it checks for the crossdomain.xml file.&lt;/p&gt;
