I just upgraded to R2 beta, quite anxious to check out the PowerShell additions for Hyper-V in that release. Um...there don't seem to be any PowerShell additions for Hyper-V in that release. :(

Is the Hyper-V team deferring any development of PowerShell cmdlets for Hyper-V management in favor of the cmdlets that come with SCVMM 2008 that allow you to manage Hyper-V, or are there Hyper-V specific cmdlets coming in a later release, maybe beta 2? My gut feeling is that there are no cmdlets for Hyper-V management in the pipeline yet...

There are not any new Hyper-V specific PowerShell cmdlets - System Center Virtual Machine Manager provides a set of cmdlet’s for management of all of their supported virtualization platforms.
