Do your students have the passion and creativity to use and develop technology innovations that can make a difference in the world? Of course they do, so why not encourage them to them to enter the Imagine Cup. The Imagine Cup is the world’s premier student technology competition, it is one way Microsoft is encouraging young people to apply their IC09_CorporateLogo_standardimagination and creative energies. Round 1 of this global competition takes the form of an online quiz, the IT Challenge. This is a fun and engaging quiz based around general IT knowledge that aligns well to most IT courses and appeals to anyone who has an interest in IT. The quiz is held online at scheduled times throughout December and January and students would compete on the www.imaginecup.com site.

In the UK we are offering prizes of Windows Vista Ultimate or Office 2007 Ultimate to the top student competitors in the IT Challenge Round One at your school or college.

The IT Challenge There are 4 remaining Round One quizzes left in this year’s Imagine Cup so it is important to get as many of your students (16 years and older) registering and attending one of the timetabled events:

The highest scoring student from your school/college will be eligible to win a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate or Office 2007 Ultimate. We will only monitor the scores of those schools that have told us they are taking part only, and contact the highest scoring student after each quiz to arrange delivery of their prize.

So how do you get involved?

To get your students involved, you need to let us know that you are taking part with the following information:

- Name of teacher/lecturer, email address

- Number of students in class

- School name
