There is an obvious theme of uncertainty and possibly a feeling of self preservation for most during these tough economic times.  Building off of yesterday's post one of the TechLeader contributors sent me an article from Seattlepi.com.  The article speaks to managers and how to "keep human capital loyal, engaged and inspired during a climate of layoffs and declining pay raises."

It is a good read and offers up some wonderful advice to all of those who are in a leadership position.
