If we place TFS from domain to workgroup, is TFS working normally?

Here we possess a TFS in workgroup and a TFS proxy in domain. I have encountered this issue many times, whatever accounts (such as proxy local account or system account "NT AUTHORITY \ NETWORK SERVICE") , the configuration process is alway blocked by TF400371 error. Is your workaround suitable for us? Do you have any good advice towards our TFS configuration environment.

After updating bindings in IIS site, I have tried setting these up to use tfs.ourdomain.com but can only hit the tfs.ourdomain.com:8080/tfs/web sites on the actual server where tfs is installed.

I updated webconfig to include new path to tfsServer also but this didn't help either.

I've reversed these changes as I need a working tfs, but I need some advice as I need our tfs implementation to be available to remote workers.

oh i think i used IIS same make apache like tipe localhost in this case we just ned computername:8080

Interesting read. I'm curious if there is an updated version of this document out there relevant for the RTM version of TFS 2010 or TFS 2010 with SP1. I have only so far rolled out TFS for smaller teams... it's reassuring to know that our company would have to triple its team size before needing to move beyond a single server deployment :)

I too have been directed to this site after I installed the patch after the TFS Binaries, but fefore running the Configuration Wizard.... is this site is a victim of 'author abuse' by putting code in the TFS2010 install that directs people to this personal blog..?.

Guys, it seems that the author Aaron, does not work for MS anymore so don't expect an update since it is his personal blog :/

This article has been posted in April and it's December now. I'm surprised that it hasn't been clarified. Do I need to install the patch if I'm install TFS 2010 from scratch, but once installed I will migrate my TFS 2008 code base to 2010?
