When I say diversity, I am not referring to people from different age, different races or different gender. I am referring to people with different strengths.
There is so many things you could learn by observing the people around you. You just need to keep an open mind.
I am a very action and result orient type of person. It means I will ignore best practices sometime and use the most simplest way to solve a problem, and get the thing done.
In testing world, it may not necessary be a good things to "get thing done" because we should also be detail orient and perfectionist, otherwise, we couldn't be able to delivery product with high quality. Luckily, our team consist of both type of person.
Vijay is one of my teammate who I will consider as perfectionist, who can keep an eye on big picture and at the same time being detail oriented.
I learn a lot from him on testing and if you are interest in best practices on testing, you should check out his blog at http://blogs.msdn.com/vijayu/default.aspx
