Been quiet for the last week. I was busy trying to get some stuff done before a customer road trip in Europe. We were in Ireland today and will be in Stockholm tomorrow then Helsinki on Wednesday and Thursday ending with a meeting in London on Friday morning. Today we spoke at an Open Data round table in Dublin. That was quite exciting – I really enjoyed hearing more about the London Data Store and other case studies. I think the efforts in Ireland could be a great addition to the up and coming Open Data efforts that are available.
About to catch a flight out but wanted to tease folks with the following images (I will write something up later this week with more detail)
Look at the image to see Visits.. a column of spatial types… note that they are links:
Also take a peak at this image… a view of the points being visualized on Bing Maps… no special code needed:
A savvy person may notice that the initial task was log data… if I get ambitious I will share a post on that as well… think Hive, Hadoop and Log data.
You should have contacted me when visiting Stockholm! Long time no hear. I hope you are doing great.
