&lt;p&gt;I too remember spending ages typing in magazine code machine code only to find it didn't work. &amp;nbsp;At least they added checksums later. &amp;nbsp;It drove me to write my own games. &amp;nbsp;Also fu, was going into a Dixons stores (that's Best Buy to you USians) and typing in code something like this:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;10 PRINT &amp;quot;Loading Manic Miner&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;20 Poke xxxx,yyyy&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;30 goto 30&lt;/p&gt;
