We've released the December CTP (Community Technology Preview) of several interrelated technologies this morning. These include the Windows SDK (with WinFX) and and several "Orcas" technologies such as Cider (a Visual Designer for the Windows Presentation Foundation).

What's especially exciting about this CTP is that it's the first release the July '05 PDC where we have a compatible build between Windows Vista and the Windows SDK, giving developers a chance to write Vista/WinFX apps!

Go to my Windows Vista Get the Beta Web page to see a description of what's included, read the release notes and download the goods!

Notes:
  • These technologies are going live at 9am EST so be patient if the links aren't there when you check as everything has to propogate across our servers.
  • These bits are compatible with the latest build of Windows Vista.
  • Windows Vista is only available via to MSDN Universal subscribers and to beta testers.
  • The December CTP bits also install on Windows XP SP2 and Windows 2003 Server SP1
