About Tom Hollander's blog

Welcome to my blog! Please take a seat and enjoy a complimentary Vegemite sandwich.

My name is Tom Hollander and I'm currently working as a Solution Architect in Microsoft's Solutions Development Centre in Sydney, Australia. This basically involves working with an agile team of developers and testers, making sure that whatever the customer asked us to build doesn't crash and burn into a smouldering mess.

Until recently I worked in Microsoft's intergalactic headquarters in Redmond Washington USA in the patterns & practices team as the Product Manager for deliverables such as Enterprise Library, Guidance Automation Toolkit and the Web Service Software Factory. I expect to be relieved of my duties as the global support centre for Enterprise Library some time in 2024.

This blog consists mainly of posts about architecture, technology and development processes, but has been known to go off on random tangents from time to time. Should this occur, please remain seated and stay calm until it blows over.

Comments to posts are welcomed, particularly if they are intelligent, controversial or insane. Blog spam and trackbacks to garbage sites will be euthanised.
