Webcast about Enterprise Library for .NET 2.0

Want to find out more about what's in store for the next release of Enterprise Library? Join me, Scott and Ron for the Enterprise Library for .NET Framework 2.0 webcast this coming Thursday, 20th October at 11am US Pacific Time (18:00 UTC). Register now to attend live (which is best as you can ask us questions during the presentation), or if you miss it you can watch it on-demand later.

Update: The webcast is now over - thanks to everyone who tuned in, and to those who asked all the great questions. We are aware that there were some technical problems that prevented some people from being able to watch the live webcast - sorry about this. You'll be able to watch the webcast on-demand around 24 hours after the live session is complete.

  • Please have webcast training for each block after you release the EntLib 2.0

  • Hi Tom,

Just wanted to say the webcast was great and I really look forward to the November release of the EntLib.. we are chomping at the bit here :)
  • So, I had gathered about 20 people in our location to push P&P and what happens? The MS Events website won't let me in. Then suddenly 20 minutes later I get an email saying that the site is having issues and that I "might" be better off going directly to the Placeware web site. Lesson learned, never plan a meeting around a live Webcast.

Since then I downloaded the presentation and plan on rescheduling the meeting without the dependency of network connectivity. I can't wait to get my hands on this library before people start creating twenty different versions of the same pattern. Cheers to everyone for their effort.
  • Scott -

Thanks for your support, and sorry about the hassle. Although about 400 people did manage to get into the webcast, we know that something was wrong with the site that prevented many people from joining. Of all of the webcasts I've done, this is the first time I've seen this happen, and the MSDN Webcast team is no doubt looking into the problem. So while I can understand your frustration, don't assume that live webcasts are never worthwhile...

  • Hi there! A team of us in the Computing & Communcations department at the University of Washington attended the EntLib 2.0 webcast. We were curious if the Q&A's from that event are available in digital format? pdf, email, forum, etc.

    Thanks Very Much!
  • Hi Matt -

The Q&A transcript from the session is meant to be included in the recorded webcast when viewed with the "Live Meeting wrapper". However for some reason the transcript isn't appearing when I view the recording. I've asked the MSDN webcasts team to look into why this is the case. In the meantime, if you'd like a copy of the transcript, please e-mail me through the blog and I'll send a copy to you.

  • Hi
I cannot get the Application Blocks (June 2005) to work with VS.NET 2005. I keep getting parsing errors in my Web.Config. The exact same project works fine in VS.NET 2003. Do you have a sample of what the Web.Config should look like for ASP.NET 2.0 and also the Data Configuration File. Is there a Configuration Tool available for ASP.NET 2.0. I found a few postings about this but I still could not resolve the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
