I wanted to apologize to anyone who has wondered why my blog has gone cold in the last few months. My work load has kept me running in deep waters. It's been difficult to come up to periscope depth lately so I can post new content. I'm hoping the holidays will give me a chance to offload some of the material I've been accumulating.

 Here's some stuff I'll be posting in the next few weeks:

• Dealing with contention in replication distribution databases
• Testing for proper alignment of disk storage systems
• Handy scripts for creating SQL Server alerts and notifications, re-index jobs and other administrative tasks

Stay tuned, I'm into the home stretch of my current engagement and it's time to surface and recharge the batteries.
