The Minister for Education and Science Mary Hanafin T.D., today delivered a keynote address to the 2008 Government Leaders Forum, taking place in Berlin, Germany. The Forum, being hosted by Microsoft and now in its tenth year, brings together senior politicians, officials and key individuals from across Europe to share their views and experiences of modernising government.
Minister Hanafin addressed the area of how Europe can continue to compete in global markets. She will also look at the economic challenge facing Europe to ensure that our educational framework is relevant, dynamic and flexible to enable the workforce to respond to existing competitors as well as manage and anticipate emerging situations.
