Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange - Importing a List of Safe Senders

Yesterday I got a question about whether it's possible to import a whitelist, or safe senders list, into FPE. In the FPE docs there are instructions for Creating an allowed senders filter list.

You can import items into the list. See Importing items into a filter list.

Added 2/10/2011: This isn't directly related, but there is a nice video that discusses filtering in general, here, at Filtering in Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server.

  • Maybe I'm crazy.  But don't see either the export or import selection.

I am using Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server.  It's installed on my Edge server.  I edit an existing filter.  nothing.  What am I missing?

  • Hard to tell without seeing what you're seeing.

You can start a support case here: support.microsoft.com/.../14783

The cases are routed to our support folks.

  • The following video shows the steps for creating filter list and shows the import process:

    Hope that helps.
