Recently on the Server and Cloud blog they released new post that's of interest, Important Changes to Forefront Product Roadmaps, if you use any of the Forefront email-protection products. The following are a few excerpts with my commentary added:

1. ...the next release of Forefront Online Protection for Exchange, which has long been part of the Office 365 solution, will be named Exchange Online Protection. - If you'd like to read a few details about Exchange Online Protection and about some of its new features, What's New in Exchange Online Preview covers some of the details. 2. We are discontinuing any further releases of the following Forefront-branded solutions: ...Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server (FPE) - The shift in focus to cloud services is bringing some changes. I handle quite a few of the documentation updates, in response to customer feedback, to the FPE 2010 documentation (see Microsoft Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server). My team will continue to devote time to it for a few more years, so feel free to give us feedback on any specific topic where you have a question or comment. There is typically a link on each topic in TechNet where you can submit feedback or add a comment.
