Speaking of Illinois, I'm excited because I'm taking the train to Portland, Oregon this evening for the Official Bridge Club National Convention*. I am representing the Seattle Chapter.** I love taking the train. The Cascades line train from Seattle to PDX is one of the best, too--it is a beautiful ride along the water, then through some fields, with views of mountains, and, when one feels racy, there's a Bud Light to be had in the dining car. Then you arrive at Portland's rad, old-school station with clock tower and wood seating and marble walls and Go by Train! sign.

I like it so much!

OTHER THINGS TO REPORT INCLUDE:

  1. Famous MCT Ron Beekelaar happened to be on my same flight home from Heathrow. That was fun.
  2. Look, it is Niall Merrigan, talking about his company's certification program.
  3. Mark Shea, a Microsoft Learning guy, is studying for MCTS: Sharepoint Configuration, if you want to follow along...

* There are not very many members of the OBC. All but two of them live in Portland, Oregon.
** In fact, I am the sole member of the Seattle Chapter.
