"Hi. I'm Trish, and I'm a Software Test Engineer."
When people ask "what's a software test engineer?", the short answer (always given
with an evil grin) is "I get to break things all day long."
It's true, of course. A large part of my job entails finding ways to make applications
break. But the other half of the fun is figuring out *why* it broke, and *where* it
broke, so that I can help the developers I'm working with figure out how to fix it.
Then we do it again. And again. AND AGAIN. Oftentimes, fixing one broken place exposes
several more areas of brokenness behind it.
Sure, it can be a grind now and again, but it's also a challenge. I'm glad it's a
challenge I get to accept!
Welcome to a slice of how an STE thinks :)
