The European Spam Symposium is coming up this year in three weeks on the 24th and 25th of May, being held in Vienna, Austria.

It looks like an interesting event, a place where anti-spammers can get together and discuss strategies of fighting spam.

In addition, they also have invited Spammer-X, a professional spammer who retired from the spam world at age 22 (I would have liked to have retired at age 22... I'm now six years past that).  I think it would be absolutely fascinating to hear what it's like to be on the inside and how spammers come up with new methods of delivering their payload.  You can bet that if I attended this session I'd blog about it.

I don't think I'll be able to make it, but I'll try for next year.  Anyways, if you're in the area I'd encourage you to check it out and let me know how it went.
