This morning at the main Microsoft Campus, I missed my chance to go and hear Hillary Clinton speak.
As my American readers will know, and some of my international readers, Hillary Clinton is campaigning for the Democratic nomination to run for president of the United States. While she was speaking, I was sitting at my desk dealing with spam issues.
Now, this is not to say that I would vote for Hillary given the chance (I'm an immigrant so I can't vote). However, I like politics and I've never seen a famous American politician up close so this was my only shot (plus, I'd say that the odds are that she will be the next President of the United States). Now I'll have to wait until the Republicans come, if they do.
I really have to wonder if the Republicans will even bother campaigning in Washington. This state is going to vote for the Democrats so why waste the time and resources? If I lived in a battleground state, then I could probably have several chances.
It hasn't been a good week for me. I miss my chance to see a famous politician, all the stocks I sold two weeks ago are up huge today... yeesh.
Clinton? You didn't miss much..
If Marx comes through, be sure to see him. They share a lot of philosophy..
Odds are that she'll win a plurality (highest percentage) of popular vote, but that doesn't mean much. Besides, you probably wouldn't want it to mean much. If the winner of a plurality in year 2000 had been approved by the judicial branch, then the executive branch wouldn't have switched to a monopoly-friendly version.
In my other post, I mentioned that I missed my chance to see a famous American politician visit the Microsoft
