Microsoft and Local Government Chronicle have been running a competition, Innovate08, over the last couple of months to identify projects that have the potential to make a difference to local communities and can be enabled by technology.

The four finalists will be coming along to the Innovate08 Day in London on Monday September 8th to present their proposals.  One will come away as the Microsoft Innovate08 winner.  They will see their proposal developed into an implementable solution that can be used as a template by other local authorities if they want to implement a similar solution.

All four finalists have worked hard to prepare their proposals for a judging panel from IDeA, LGC, Microsoft and SOCITM.

And the winner is ... you'll need to wait till Tuesday to find out!
