I often get queries about the virtualization capabilities of Dynamics GP and also the what are the benefits of virtualization. For some background information have look at the Virtualization Home Page on Microsoft.com. You can find everything on here from the products in our virtualization suite, case studies, resources and downloads.
On this subject did you know that Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 supports both Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Server (Hyper-V) Virtualization in test and production environments.
Please make sure to view the system requirements recommended for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 - here and here - and assure that each virtual layer within which Microsoft Dynamics GP components are installed conforms to these systems requirements.
For any additional virtualization products that you wish to have tested for compatibility and support, please enter those requests in the suggestion database.
For products not currently listed as compatible, customers should follow the same guidelines as non-Microsoft virtualization software and have a non-virtual environment available for testing and troubleshooting any issues to rule out the virtual environment as the cause of any issues.
