What is a ‘MOS Test Fest?’

A MOS Test Fest is a day (or days) where your schools runs Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams at one hour intervals to create fun and excitement around taking the exams and gaining the universally recognised qualifications.

How do they work?

In advance of the date, students will use the official MS Office eLearning, free digital Microsoft Academic Courseware for Office and Test Bank of questions through IT Academy and Practice Exams to swat up for the exam.  Then, on the day of the Test Fest, you can open up your school’s Computer Lab and run the exams.

All students who pass their MOS exams will automatically be entered into the MOS World Championships, whereupon the two students with the highest score in Word 2010 and Excel 2010 in the quickest amount of time will get an all-expenses paid trip to Washington DC at the end of July to represent the UK in the MOS World Championships.

What do we get from entering students for MOS exams?

If your school completes more than 250 MOS exams by the end of the year, you will receive a Centre of Excellence Plaque. Schools who complete the most MOS exams each month from March to June 2013 will also receive a prize!

When does the competition run?

You have until June 30th 2013 to enter students into the MOS World Championships and for your school to complete 250 exams.
