To finalise our week of student-led blogs, the O Team from Wymondham High Academy have made a video demonstrating how to update from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 in Education using an ISO file. The video is primarily aimed at the students at their school, to help them to do their own personal Windows updates. However, the video is applicable to anyone who has a Windows 7 device and wants to update to Windows 8.1.

For those of you who have a Windows 7 device at home or at university and have been putting off updating to Windows 8.1 or haven't had the time, this video may inspire you to get cracking.

You'll notice that Jason Brown, the video creator, obtained the Windows 8.1 update through his school’s DreamSpark subscription for free. If your institution is running DreamSpark, you and your students can follow his steps, or if you wish to upgrade your own personal PC, you can purchase the Windows 8.1 update online.

As part of their initiative to provide easily accessible IT user guides for their peers and teachers, the O Team have just released their Youtube channel where all their videos are now hosted. To communicate with the team about their epic spread of videos, you can post any comments you might have on their channel.
