This week really has been something of a whirlwind, what with the appearance of the Internet Explorer 9 beta and final Windows Phone dev tools. I’m definitely ready for the weekend. Here’s the rest of this week’s news in one handy blob.

On Monday we wondered if you’d like to join us at our first free TechDays online conference on 8th October, showcasing everything you should know about the Windows Azure Platform. I also found the top ten new developer features in Microsoft SharePoint 2010. We like a good top ten, so tell me if there are any others you’d like to see.

Tuesday’s news was the gorgeous new MSDN homepage – judging by the visitor traffic you’re enjoying it as much as I am. While I was scouting around, one of the highlights I found was this  collection of Visual Studio resources. Also newly announced this week were the sessions and speakers for this for TechEd Europe 2010. Are you signed up?

And so to Wednesday, and exciting news of the Internet Explorer 9 beta. Microsoft Developer Evangelist, Martin Beeby, put together a fabulous post explaining what’s new for devs. Not be overshadowed, we also posted some Visual Studio and ALM events that are proving rather popular.

Following Wednesday’s excitement I was all blogged out, but on Thursday the IE9 theme continued, and I posted a link to the Internet Explorer dev centre on MSDN. Think of it as your one-stop-shop for all things IE.

I say it every week, but I can’t believe it’s Friday again already. Big Windows Phone news this morning – the final developer tools are ready and waiting for you to download. There’s no stopping you now…I also reminded you about the upcoming TechDays Windows Azure online conference, and pulled together some Azure tools and tips in one handy place.

Have a great weekend, everyone. This week I’ll be…training for an 8k run.
