One of my colleagues over in the Microsoft Consulting Services UK Solution Development team has written a two parter to help you with building and deploying an Outlook 2010 Add-in. Here’s an intro:
So, you’ve cracked open your shiny new Visual Studio 2010, and you would like to build and roll out an add-in for Outlook 2010 (we’re using Outlook here, but most of the principals apply to Word and Excel also)?
In part 1, I’ll take you through the steps required to build a ribbon that appears on the Home screen, as well as a tab in the “backstage” area (new features that are only available in Outlook 2010). In part 2, we will go through the steps required to create a setup project that will deploy the add-in.
