The latest addition to this year’s UK Tech.Days line up is Developing with Bing…Extending Your Search Solutions on Thursday, 26 May from 4.15-8.00pm.

 Here’s the lowdown:

This session has been designed by developers for developers, to show how Bing can be incorporated into a diverse range of consumer and business applications. We will have internal Microsoft and external partner presenters talking on topics such as the Bing design philosophy, the Bing API and Bing Mobile Map Control. Attendees will  have the opportunity to network and ask questions of Microsoft technical specialists – as well as the chance to win prizes throughout the evening with a specially designed “Bing pub quiz”!

We will be discussing in detail how the Bing Application Programming Interface enables developers to programmatically submit queries to and retrieve results from the Bing Engine. The new Bing API will be explained, and we will show the Webmasters Kit for Search Engine Optimisation. Finally, Bing Maps is being used in enterprise and consumer applications, and is also fast becoming the preferred platform for mobile applications. We will demonstrate our leading-edge mapping capabilities, presenting the WP7 Developer Toolkit as well as a deep dive on the Mobile Map Control itself. All of our sessions will have a practical element, showing case studies and example applications in addition to the development background.
