After months of planning and preparation over the last few months, we are super excited about welcoming Bett 2013 visitors to the Microsoft stand at the show.

The Bett show, and the ability to meet and learn from inspiring teachers, network managers and head teachers, is a highlight of the year for the whole Microsoft education team and we think that this year's show, with the addition of the Bett Arena, is going to be the best yet.

With a central theme of 'A New Era of Digital Learning', we will be discussing how devices, services and rich applications come together to create more immersive and engaging learning experiences that help build essential 21st century skills.

Our stand, E270, is split across two key areas - the Microsoft Learn Live Theatre and the Windows 8 Stand.

Our Learn Live Theatre is literally jammed packed with tips, tricks and valuable advice delivered by a mix of teachers, network managers and Microsoft staff and address a wide range of topics from Windows 8 to the power of communities in education. I have said it many times on this blog, but we feel privileged to work with some amazing teachers and I highly recommend taking the time to visit the theatre to learn more about how the likes of Charlotte Beckhurst, David Rogers, Janet Hayward and Tom Rees are using technology to raise attainment and help their students realise their full potential. The full schedule is available via our Microsoft at Bett 2013 website.

Additionally, with the Windows 8 Stand, we are offering a more focused overview on devices, services and apps and how these are coming together to help educators to create more emotional connections with learning. With a great range of devices on the stand, including Microsoft Surface, and a smaller theatre offering bite sized chunks of content, the Windows 8 stand is the perfect complement to the Learn Live Theatre sessions that are running throughout the day. Hope to see you there!

Bett Arena

Lastly, if you are planning to get to the Bett show nice and early this morning, the Bett Arena opening ceremony is well worth attending. With speeches by Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable and Anthony Salcito, VP for education for Microsoft, the opening ceremony promises to be a thought provoking start to your day at the show. Get there early, though, as seats will definitely go quickly!
