The time has come for us to attend the annual Naace Conference, which is taking place this week on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th March 2013.

The Naace Strategic Conference is titled ‘Learning Without Limits’ and is being held at the Leicester Marriott Hotel. Alongside engaging keynotes, informative breakout sessions, and a host of networking opportunities, the Naace Strategic Conference 2013 will address the impact of ICT in schools and explore a range of ways in which ICT can be used to promote learning and engagement. There will be a strong mobile learning and BYOD theme running throughout the programme and a chance to hear about recent developments on the programme of study for ICT and the Naace Curriculum Framework.

The Microsoft education team are excited to be exhibiting at the conference, with a core theme around Kodu – a visual programming language made specifically for creating games and designed to be accessible for children. We’ve seen some amazing outcomes from Kodu being used in schools, so please come and visit us on stand 16 to find out how you can use Kodu in education.

Don’t miss our Sponsor Zone session on Thursday at Naace, where Ray Chambers (Lead Practitioner/IT Teacher, Uppingham Community College) will be presenting an inspiring session titled ‘Kodu, are you game?'  Come along and learn some of the great things Ray has done with Kodu in his school. Ray will be speaking on Thursday 7th March at 13:05 - 13:35 in Zone 2.

On the stand we can also tell you about our exciting Kodu Cup Competition, where pupils can submit their own designed and developed games using Kodu.  Winners will be invited to Microsoft HQ to present their games and take part in workshops, as well as have the chance to take home an Xbox 360 with Kinect and the Kodu Kup!
