This Blog opens with a statement suggesting USB3 HUBS would be discussed in later blogs - when?

Someone please post a solution to this.... I'm using Vantec (UGT-MH431U3-BK) USB3 4port HUB as the tower access to my USB3 is to difficult. When I first plugged it in (plug and play?!) it loaded driver software from Microsoft "Driver Version: 6.2.9200.16518" and worked for the first use only, now the above error with no work around that I can find?!?! I have uninstalled all USB driver software and allowed Windows8 to auto reinstall and no luck.

USB 3.0 device lost when copying data - Happens on multiple USB 3.0 HDD drives. Device stops copying and redetects. Only happens on USB 3.0. USB 2.0 is fine.

Hi,

I bought a USB3 PCI Express controller card that I installed on my Win 8 PC but it doesn't seem to work...

I tought that it would work automatically.

I can't seem to find any Win 8 drivers on the internet also.

What can I do?

f I plug the USB 2.0 deivce(support HW LPM) into USB 3.0 port, it should still work with EHCI controller. So it means....Win8 will not support LPM L1 for USB 2.0 device. Is it correct ?

1) We only support Hardware LPM in XHCI stack for USB3 controllers. No LPM support on EHCI.

2) XHCI stack is only on Win8. So no support on downlevel OSes.

3) Because it’s HW LPM, no client driver update is needed.

4) There is no client driver interface to enable/disable HW LPM.

5) If the device doesn’t support LPM then it should reject L1 transition request.

6) For LPM to be enabled, the device bcdUSB should be greater than 2.0 and the device should declare it is lpm capable in the BOS descriptor.
