The Microsoft Action Pack is Going Digital
Access Software Benefits at Anytime from Anywhere
Over the past year, the partner community has provided us with feedback to improve access and management of software benefits—we listened. Starting with the July 2009 Microsoft Action Pack Subscription (MAPS) kit, subscribers will benefit from digital-only software distribution. Directly downloading internal-use software allows you to access software and updates the moment they’re made available. There is no need to wait for the Microsoft Action Pack Subscription box shipment. Here are few things to get excited about:
Faster and more flexible: Access software immediately—24x7 availability.
Greater visibility: View all software benefits summarized in a license statement.*
Improved software benefits management: Add or remove users and manage their access to downloads, keys, and a license statement.
Decreased environmental impact: Help reduce the amount of waste from manufacturing, shipping, and disposing of disk kits.
MAPS content will be located on the Microsoft Partner Marketing Center. Content will be updated quarterly and will require a Windows Live ID to access. You will be mailed a MAPS Highlights card informing you of key resources and new software that is available. Physical media will still be available for order by paying a shipping fee based on your location. Access to software keys and license statement will only be available digitally, even when you’re receiving physical media. Visit MAPS Online for details.
