Microsoft announces the commoditization of Enterprise Search space with Microsoft Search Server 2008 Express (MSS Express). In delivering MSS Express, Microsoft has taken the enterprise-class search capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and made them available as a standalone server.

You can become part of the Microsoft Search Community. Search from Microsoft empowers people to find information and expertise anywhere in the organization. When ISVs can add Search capabilities, results from you application show up in the Microsoft Enterprise Search results.
