While we all eagerly await the general availability of the Surface computer, it's good to know there are options available for the enthusiasts among us.  If you just can't wait for that Surface experience, check out the great work by Johnny Chung Lee at http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~johnny/projects/wii/.  Johnny makes innovative use of the Wiimote to connect managed code to the infrared sensor technologies provided by the device.

There's some manual work to be done, but it could make for hours of entertainment (and some really cool demos.)
