The ability to model architecture of an application and validate it against application code will be added to the next version of Visual Studio Team System, code named Rosario. A new feature will allow you to create a visual map of your application's architecture and the compare it with the back-end code.
The feature, called Architecture Explorer, lets you create new architecture and new contstraints depending on the needs of the application and its code as part of the overall lifecycle development process.
When tied with Visual Studio Team Foundation check-in rules, developers working on the code can check-in code only when code is compliant with the architecture.,
Architecture Explorer was announced at TechEd this week.Visual Studio Team System is an integrated Application Life-cycle Management (ALM) solution comprising tools, processes, and guidance to help everyone on the team improve their skills and work more effectively together.
You can learn more about the next generation ALM solution at Microsoft Visual Studio Team System Code Name "Rosario". You can try out the latest early adopter version on a Virtual PC available from Visual Studio® Team System Code Name "Rosario" April 2008 CTP (VPC Image).
