In recognition of the need to provide a more integrated version of Visual Studio for Software- and Database-Developers, Visual Studio 10 will combine the two versions into one. This means that by default, the Visual Studio Developer edition will also contain the functionality targeted towards Database Developers.
For current msdn subscribers there is even more good news. Starting October 1st, 2008 Development Edition and Database Edition MSDN subscribers will have access to both products.
