CNet reports that Live Mesh won top honors in their blog post, Microsoft's Live Mesh top innovation at the Crunchies. The Chruncie is a popularity contest via votes cast through the Crunchies Web site and with input from the Crunchies Committee, consisting of co-hosts GigaOm, Silicon Alley Insider, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, and advisors.
The article reports, "The most surprising winner for the evening was Microsoft's Live Mesh, which won in the category best technology innovation/achievement. ... it's a deserved award, which was accepted by Ray Ozzie, the chief software architect at Microsoft, and David Treadwell, who runs the Live Services Platform."
Live Mesh is among the first applications that takes advantage of Live Framework SDK. Live Mesh lets users synchronize files across identities and devices. ISVs can take advantage of Live Framework to sync data between users, applications, and groups.
For more information about getting started integrating your data in the style of Live Mesh-style, see Live Services -- Get Started. For more information, see Live Framework.
