The Release Candidate build of Service Pack 2 for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 has been released to testers.  A single service pack applies to both Vista and Server 2008. It is available for testers as a standalone package, through Windows Update, and disk through MSDN and TechNet.

A Service Pack is not a feature release but aggregates some 656 hot fixes.  It requires Service Pack 1 already be installed.  Service Pack 2 includes:

·         Hardware ecosystem support and enhancements

·         Operating system experience updates

·         Enterprise improvements

·         Setup and deployment improvements, The SP2 standalone installer
