Well, the folks over at Live Labs have been busy, and they’re now making a great new visualization technology available for developers to test out.  This technology is called Pivot, and from the look of it, it’s an awesome tool for browsing through large collections of objects histographically (i.e., grouped on the value of a single attribute.)  This often makes some non-obvious relationships readily apparent as well as yielding a simple navigation metaphor over vast quantities of data.  The video below shows Pivot in action.
