Brandon Watson, Director of Windows Phone 7 announced that the Windows Phone Developer Tools will go final on September 16. The announcement was made on Channel 9 at Windows Phone 7: News for Developers.
The final tools will likely have some minor breaking changes from the Beta tools, so you may have to fix some bugs that arise. The final tools will also include several highly requested Silverlight controls to make it even easier for developers to deliver high quality Windows Phone 7 experiences. These include the the panorama, pivot and Bing maps controls.
