With modern features like state-of-the-art version control, integrated bug tracking and flexible build automation, Team Foundation Server 2010 ensures the delivery of quality software faster.
The reality of Visual SourceSafe (VSS) is that it fails to meet many of these modern requirements and has clearly reached the end of its evolution. No new VSS versions, or updates to current versions, are planned by Microsoft. Team Foundation Server (TFS) is the replacement for VSS and with so many benefits to be gained by moving to Team Foundation Server, there is no better time to move to Team Foundation Server, than today.
SharePoint Easy Setup Script is a new tool released by Chris Johnson and Paul Stubbs to help you set up a SharePoint 2010 developer machine without requiring Hyper-V. The Easy Setup script will set up the machine, either as a native install or on a bootable VHD file.

I recently began a series of 3 Day Instructor Led Trainings (ILT) in Irvine (Orange County), Silicon Valley and Redmond. The course is a 200/300 level and uses the Windows Azure Training Kit as the primary learning curriculum. The training kit is quite large, and the instructor (Vivek Bhatnagar @vivekbhatnagar) selects the most relevant topics/labs to cover over the 3 day period. The students have plenty of material to cover after the training is completed.
If you weren’t able to attend a local training event, you can download the Windows Azure Platform Training Course and get started on your own. I’ve provided a link for a free 30 day Azure pass, system requirements and required software below:
