A new “API mapping tool” to help iPhone developers port applications to Windows Phone 7. For current mapping, we started with three popular categories (Network / Internet, User Interface and Data Management) and mapped them to Windows Phone 7 API.
Don’t expect a mapping for all of the APIs, simply because the platforms are built upon different architectures and user interfaces.
For this first round we focused on identifying the one-to-one mapping when it exists.
In addition we are highlighting the content that we have developed on the http://windowsphone.interoperabilitybridges.com/ site over the past few months.

Microsoft is announcing the availability of a new “API mapping tool” to help iPhone developers port applications to Windows Phone 7.
The announcement includes:
A 90+ pages “Windows Phone 7 Guide for iPhone Application Developers” white paper, organized in 8 chapters, and growing
A series of “developer stories”, where developers share on video their experience porting iPhone applications to Windows Phone and explain why and how they did it.
The Windows Phone Interoperability site focuses on helping developers who have been creating mobile phone applications on various platforms ramp up quickly on the Windows Phone 7 platform. The goal is to help them leverage existing skills, and provide recipes to successfully design and build applications for the Window Phone.
The site includes technical documentation and testimonials. Content and tutorials will continue to be added and expanded over the coming months.
