Sometime it's only natural to sketch something senseless while following a presentation, having a phone call or similar activities. It's not rare at all to see on paper trays in the neighborhood of a phone all sorts of spirals, patterns or smiley.

Well, TabletPC and ArtRage can really bring this habit to new heights of effectiveness: here in the left what came out from my pen while following a great presentation last wednesday :-)

  • By chance, could I get a print of that. I will pay for the photo paper and shipping. Or, do you already sell prints of your artwork?
  • Josh,
your comment flatters me totally! I'm glad you like the image, however it is still only a 30-mins sketch which just had the function of modulate my attention level during a presentation.
Of course I don't sell my "artwork", but again this is a very flattering thought. Thank you!!!! You can have it for free, only condition is that you'll always acknowledge me as the author and you will ask me first if you'll want to use the image from any other purpose than personal use (hanging it, using it as a wallpaper on your PC and so on are more than OK; setting up an XP theme and selling it, using it as a texture for a videogame and so on would not be OK) :-)
About sending you a printout: what if I send you via email an higher resolution version instead (ArtRage exports to a 1050 x 1340 image, not huge but still printable) and you manage to print it on your own? That would make everything simpler. Let me know, and thanks again!
  • That would be great. I am going to print it out, frame it, and hang it on my wall. I actually think your signature adds to the picture, and I have no plans on making money off of it :) You can send it to: josh at manuet dot com.

    Thanks!
  • Just sent, let me know if everything went OK.
Unfortunately ArtRage exports to pretty small images (substantially a screen printout it would seem), so if you want to keep decent DPIs you'll have to use a small sheet :-(
As a side note, I wouldn't think it's possible to actually make money out of it: it was just the standard disclaimer. On the other hand I would have never thought that a picture of mine could have ended on the wall of somebody else on the other end of the world, within mere days from its drawing. The Internet still amazes me! :-)
  • The file arrived! Thanks again. Be sure to keep in touch. You blogs has been added to my daily reading :)
  • Almost one year ago the web space that was hosting all my blog images (since 2003) somehow lost all of
